There are also exciting countdown events presented under the "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters" concept by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, at five major venues in Phuket, Chiang Mai, Rayong, Nakhon Ratchasima and Ayutthaya, today from 4pm.

They feature cultural exhibits mixed with local ways of life, art and culture, traditional and contemporary music performances by famous artists, community product fairs, great local food, as well as New Year's Eve countdown fireworks displays. The activities and traditions highlight the unique culture of each host province.
- The "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters @ Phuket" takes place at Chaloem Phra Kiat Rama X Public Park (Saphan Hin) and will feature concerts by leading artists. They include Gam Wichayanee, Kit Kittinan, Ann Thitima, Pom Autobahn, Pu Anchalee, Pan Paiboonkiat, Kob Saowanit, Oui Rawiwan, Ann Nanthana, Ping Ping Golden Song and Tee Wiwit. A highlight will be a performance by Italian opera artist Andrea Bocelli with Matteo Bocelli as special guest. Lighting up the sky will be a total of 20,000 eco-friendly fireworks synchronised with a new composition by famous Thai composer Pongprom Sanitwong Na Ayudhya.
- The "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters @ Chiang Mai" takes place at the Royal Park Rajapruek (Ho Kham Luang) and will present performances by the Lanna Symphony Orchestra with Lanna folk artists. Famous singer Palmy will take to the stage at 10.30pm, followed by Radklao Amaradhisha. Nine sets of fireworks will light up the sky, representing happiness, hope, faith, encouragement, great beginning, prosperity, good health and well-being, success and Lanna identity. Places are limited to 1,500 visitors and advanced registrations should be made via the QueQ app.
- The "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters @ Rayong" takes place at Laem Charoen Beach and will stage a cultural performance by Nang Yai Wat Ban Don and a cabaret show. Concerts will start at 8.30pm featuring Toh Saksit, Silly Fools and J Jetrin. Expect to see 10 stunning eco-friendly fireworks displays by Sarawut Taisub, winner of the Thailand Fireworks and World Champion of the Musical Fireworks Competition 2003 in Belgium. - The "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters @ Nakhon Ratchasima" takes place at the Nakhon Ratchasima City Hall and brings an impressive line-up of artists to perform including Boy Sirichai, Zack Chumpae, Ice Saranyu, The Yers and Twopee Southside. Witness seven fabulous fireworks displays to be synchronised with the fun vibe of northeastern music. The night will conclude with a special performance of a New Year blessing song in Isan style by Nakhon Ratchasima-born country singer Takkatan Chollada. Advanced registrations should be made by adding the Line official account @countdownkorat2022.
 The "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 -- Amazing New Chapters @ Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya" takes place at Wat Phra Ram and visitors are encouraged to dress in Thai traditional costumes. There will be a khon mask dance featuring Sita Walks Through Fire, an episode from the Ramakien epic, at 9.20pm. It is directed by Khru Dam Prasart Thongaram from the Fine Arts Department. The highlight will be seven sets of fireworks as a blessing for all before the night will conclude with a performance by Suanplu Chorus.
There is no admission fee but the events are open to visitors who have at least two doses of Covid-19 vaccine and show a negative Covid-19 ATK result. They are also required to strictly follow the health and safety measures.
