Pika Pika Pikachu! Pokémon fans are hunting for their favourite childhood cartoon toys at McDonald's.

The fast-food chain has joined hands with the Pokémon in their latest Happy Meal set. It is available in the US, the UK, Canada, and Thailand. Besides household Pikachu, Thai fans can find other characters, including Piplup and Eevee.

Piplup is an unmanageable penguin that refuses to listen to its trainer. In the last stage of evolution, Empoleon swims like a jet boat and uses sharp wings to slice drifting ice. Meanwhile, Eevee looks like a fluffy rabbit-eared fox. It can run away and adjust its body to the surrounding environment. It has eight elemental forms of evolution, like Flareon and Sylveon.

Under the theme of camping, the Happy Meal set offers eight items to collectors. Pikachu-themed objects are a wrist compass, binoculars, and a keychain along with a cutlery. Pokémon-themed objects are a cart, a monster-ball magnifying lens, a camping mug, an explorer's box, and a frisbee.

It is different from the US, though. Fans can find a wider variety of unheard-of characters, like Rowlet and Gossifleur. The Thai Happy Meal box contains four cards, a coin and a spinner.

The promotion is running until Sept 22.
