High-jewellery rendition of Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day

Since 2012, Rendez-Vous has served as a creative canvas for watchmakers and craftsmen at the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre in Le Sentier.

Their teamwork gave the Rendez-Vous Dazzling, launched in 2019, its characteristic bezel illuminated by diamonds arranged in two concentric rings and showcasing the claw setting of the precious stones on the outer ring.

Besides the bling, many complications have been created especially for this feminine timepiece.

The new Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day is even more ravishing with a fully diamond-set dial that further showcases the gem-setting expertise of the Métiers Rares Workshop.

Grain-set diamonds shimmer on concentric circles that radiate outwards from the centre of the dial. Handcrafting the symmetric pattern with hundreds of stones anchored by tiny, almost invisible gold beads demands dexterity and precision.

Altogether, setting a total of 590 diamonds on the dial and pink gold case requires 58 hours of work.

The new 36mm model is paired with a red alligator strap or a pink-gold bracelet, whose lozenge-shaped links join seamlessly together like a supple ribbon around the wrist.

A total of 590 diamonds sparkle on the dial and case.

The gemsetters devoted an additional 80 hours of work to the links, which are grain-set with 436 diamonds. The high-jewellery option hence sparkles with a total of 1,026 diamonds (approximately 9.54 carats).

Jaeger-LeCoultre has been based in the Vallée de Joux since 1833. Under one roof, 180 skills are brought together for its haute horlogerie.

Its technical prowess is shown in the Night & Day mechanism, which distils the 24-hour cycle of light and darkness into a captivating display at 6 o'clock.

A mother-of-pearl disc rotates as day turns to night while a polished golden sun alternates with a crescent moon set on a background of stars.

The caseback's sapphire crystal reveals the meticulously-decorated Calibre 898 and its open-worked pink gold winding rotor.

Developed and produced in-house, the automatic mechanical movement provides a power reserve of 38 hours for the dazzling model and its high-jewellery rendition.
