Bistrot De La Mer reveals weekly specials, four-hand dinner on Sept 15

September will get savourier at Bistrot De La Mer, a French-Mediterranean restaurant on the 19th floor of Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok in Soi Ton Son.

Two of the fanciest French bistrots in town will join culinary forces on Sept 15. Bistrot De La Mer's chef de cuisine Slawomir Kowalik and Arnaud Dunand Sauthier, chef-patron of one-Michelin-star Maison Dunand and Alpea Bistrot, will collaborate on a four-hand dinner.

Kowalik has 16-plus years of culinary experience at five-star properties in international locations while Le Normandie at Mandarin Oriental earned two Michelin stars in the first edition of the Michelin Guide Thailand during Sauthier's tenure, not to mention, his more than two decades of experience in fine dining. Given the calibre of both French chefs, expect a showcase of flavours and finesse.

Prepare to indulge in a gourmandising experience through a five-course menu meticulously crafted by the two French master chefs. The “Four Hands” chef collaboration experience is priced at B3,600++ per person, to ensure it'll be an epicurean night you can opt for an optional three-course wine pairing for B1,190++ per person more. The one-off special dinner will start at 7pm on Sept 15.

There are more reasons to visit Bistrot De La Mer to taste its fruits de mer. Throughout this month, the restaurant has various offerings to keep you going back.

Turn your lunch into a luxurious experience with the "Menu Du Jour lunch" set where you can savour a three-course meal for the price of B1,000++ per person or a two-course meal for B850++ per person.

Those who are mad for mussels should consider all-you-can-eat "Mardi Moule Frites" on Tuesdays. Indulge in unlimited servings of Mussels Mariniere (sailor-style mussels) served with crispy French fries for B990++ per person, available from 5-10pm.

Wednesdays are the time for two choices of seafood extravaganza titled "Taste of The Sea". Choose between The Classic Seafood Tower featuring oysters, prawns, mussels, and octopus salad and four glasses of white or rosé wine at B2,600++ or The Royale Seafood Tower consisting of half Maine lobster, oysters, prawns, scallop ceviche (seriously delish) along with four glasses of premium white or sparkling wines at B3,900++.

Besides fresh seafood (as its name suggests) prepared French style, Bistrot De La Mar also serves a great cityscape view from the 19th floor of Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok so you can dine in style. As for the "turf" side of the menu, there are a few that you can sink your teeth into such as Wagyu beef fillet, Free-range green chicken breast and Beef tartare. If you're feeling fancy-schmancy, go for oysters by six or a dozen or caviar by 30g or 50g along with trimmings.

Bistrot De La Mer is open daily for lunch from noon to 3pm and for dinner from 5-10pm. Call 02-095-9999 or email fb.sindhorn@kempinski.com. Visit fb.com/DeLaMerBangkok.
