Amazing Chefs returns to So/ Bangkok

SO Amazing Chefs, one of the city's most anticipated culinary fairs, returns to So/ Bangkok for its 11th edition from Nov 3-11.

The nine-day event features 11 internationally acclaimed chefs with a total of 12 Michelin stars between them who will showcase their culinary dexterity during an exclusive gala party, dinner cruises, chef's table experiences, omakase feasts, weekend brunch buffets, cooking classes and an off-site vineyard excursion.

The line-up includes a team of Michelin-star chefs from the US. They are Ari Weiswasser, chef-patron of Glen Ellen Star in California; Paul Librandt, chef-patron of Corton in New York; and Erik Anderson, chef-patron of Barndiva in California.

Joining them are one-starred chefs from Europe and Asia including Darren Chin of Restaurant DC in Malaysia; Simon Scott of Bistrot Saveurs in France; Rob Van Der Veeken of De Luytervelde in Netherlands; Yoshiro Kiyama of Kiyama in Japan; and Clément and Benjamin Bonano, the brothers from Granit-La Mécanique des Frères Bonano in France.

The event also presents food authorities including celebrity chef Kamol "Gigg" Chobdee-ngam of restaurant Lerdtip in Bangkok; and Patrice and Philippe Marchand of Les Frères Marchand, one of the oldest cheese producers in France. Prices range from 1,200 baht per person for a cheese masterclass to 2,500 baht for Sunday brunch buffet. There's also a 4,999 baht wine-pairing trip to Monsoon Valley Vineyard in Hua Hin; an 8,000 baht eight-course dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River; and an 8,500 baht sake-pairing omakase dinner.

The 11th anniversary of SO Amazing Chefs is held at So/ Bangkok Hotel on Rama IV Road.
