Starting today, the annual Christmas Market On The Beach is returning to North Pattaya beach featuring a line-up of food, retail goods, activities and entertainment until Sunday.
The three-day event is organised by Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel in collaboration with Pattaya City, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Eastern-seaboards) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office.
Foodies will be delighted by delicacies of various international cuisines including local favourite dishes, Western-style fare, Thai street food, snacks, pastries, desserts and beverages, all from Pattaya's own cooking masters.
Highlights include deep-fried German pork knuckle; premium seafood & BBQ meats; Chinese crispy roasted pork; khanom gui-chai chive dumplings; bread and pastries; a variety of nam phrik chilli relishes; and Mae Toom Moo Thord, Pattaya's most famous fried pork vendor.
For those looking for retail therapy, there is a wide range of affordable souvenirs and artistic creations by skilful local artisans from nearby communities. They include coconut shell craftwork, handmade crockery, aromatic herbal products, handcrafted organic soap and farm harvests.
The event also hosts several fun-filled activities such as photo-taking spots, kids-friendly workshops and special performances.
With the serene tropical ocean as a unique backdrop, the sandy 800m-long venue illuminated by festive lights boasts a cosy al fresco setting where wooden crate tables and bean bag seats await diners and fair-goers alike.
Live music from local bands promises to keep the crowd in a festive mood each night.
