A selection of art pieces by notable Thai and international artists will be unveiled during Collectors Gathering at Maison JE Bangkok, Surawong Road, for one month starting Jan 12 until Feb 11.
A collaboration between the brand-new art space in Bangkok's contemporary old town and the Art Auction Center, a pioneer in Thailand's famous art auction industry, the exhibition will showcase 44 contemporary works of art by 36 modern artists that convey the creative perspective of the collectors.
The show reflects their profound ideas and views on contemporary art and its social context as, for most collectors, an amazing work of art is similar to the essence and flavour of a conversation.
Based on the notion that every art piece has its own profound significance, the one that has a special place in a collector's heart relatively reflects the value of that time, the collector's refined taste and the emotional connection they have with art.
Transcending culture and history, these stories elevate art to be a reflection of an emotion, aesthetic feelings and beauty while adding more value to art.

The exhibition will be divided into six zones, allowing viewers to explore the charming story behind the way each art piece has been selected. They will also feel impressed with each collector's unique viewpoint and intention to get viewers to deeply touch the artists' inspirations.
Among the 36 artists are Kusama Yayoi, Alex Face, Pitakpong "Pex" Jamesripong, Jirapat Tatsanasomboon, Phromphiriya Kongsathit aka Aof Smith, Autit Pohkham aka Jayato, Satoru Koizumi, Farley Del Rosario, Jeremy Yamamura, Takeru Amano and RYOL.
The exhibition will be open for viewing daily from noon to 8pm.
