Death's Game.

When people make a mistake, they want to be given a second chance. Two Korean television series, Death's Game and Marry My Husband, on Prime Video, present stories of people who have opportunities to mend their past mistakes.

Death's Game

Growing up in a low-income family, Choi Yee-jae (Seo In-guk), has worked hard all his life, but luck has never been on his side. After enduring seven years of relentless job hunting and daily struggles, he finally decides to end his own life. However, life after death is not as peaceful as he expected. Choi encounters Death (Park So-dam), who is furious that he took his own life. Death punishes him to reincarnation and death 12 times in 12 bodies. If he can avoid death in one of these bodies, he will live the remainder of his life in that body.

This star-studded TV series is intriguing with its unusual plot and remarkable acting from nuanced actors, including Oh Jung-se, Lee Do-hyun and Kim Jae-wook. Each reincarnation forces Choi to face various aspects that he overlooked when he was alive. Through these experiences, Choi learns that people have their own issues, whether they are a billionaire, a police officer, a model or a painter. It is a drama that helps viewers to appreciate what they have and the people around them.

Marry My Husband

It is always painful to discover betrayal by a loved one. Kang Ji-won (Park Min-young), a terminally ill cancer patient, is killed by her husband and best friend after she catches them having an affair. Surprisingly, she wakes up 10 years before the incident and decides to seek revenge.

This kind of revenge is always enjoyable to watch, especially for female viewers who will root for Kang and hope that she succeeds in her quest for vengeance. Park Min-young's masterful performance presents the split- image of the vulnerable Kang and the determined woman she becomes.

Song Ha-yoon, who plays the wicked best friend, Jung Soo-min, is outstanding. Most viewers have said they hate pretentious Jung. This means Song is able to bring the character to life convincingly. The series is engaging and will make viewers curious about how Kang achieves justice.
