Everyone is invited to help transform Bangkok to be more than liveable and lovable during "Bangkok Design Week 2024", which will bring a myriad of activities to 15 districts in the city, from Saturday to Feb 4.

Held under the theme "Livable Scape: The More People Take Action, The Better The City" by the Creative Economy Agency, this is the seventh edition of what is hailed as the largest design festival in Southeast Asia.

The event is a dynamic platform for new ideas and urban experiences to foster thriving spaces, strong communities and a creative economy for residents, visitors and investors alike.

The aim is to make Bangkok a city that is physically well-designed and emotionally nurturing to ensure a good life while promoting authentic culture.

This year's festival will bring 500 design and creative activities to many areas across 15 districts in Bangkok including Charoen Krung -- Talat Noi, Phra Nakhon, Pak Khlong Talat, Nang Loeng, Yaowarat, Hua Lamphong, Ari -- Pradiphat, Bang Pho -- Kiakkai, Wongwian Yai -- Talat Phlu, Kaset -- Bang Bua, Phrom Phong, Siam -- Ratchathewi, Bangkok Yai -- Wang Doem, Phra Khanong -- Bang Na, and Bang Mot.

The activities are divided into eight categories -- exhibitions, events, music and performing arts, talks, tours, workshops, markets, and promotions.

Expect to see diverse design products addressing urban life issues, international exhibitions held in collaboration with designers from 17 countries, and special community markets that combine creativity and original cultural value such as "Ta Lak Kia Friendly Market" in Talat Noi every Saturday and Sunday and "Sam Rub Ban Khrua Market" in Ratchathewi on Feb 2 and Feb 3.

Another highlight is "Design Research Day" where each new design and innovation project and research programme will be introduced in a 20-minute presentation.

It will take place at TCDC Bangkok, Charoen Krung Road, on Jan 29 at 2pm.
