The much-anticipated Thailand Tourism Festival is back with a myriad of attractions, activities and outstanding products from five regions, at Hall 1-4 of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, from Thursday to April 1.

Organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), this 42nd edition aims to promote the country's soft power and subculture through a plethora of distinctive tourism offerings from the central, eastern, northern, northeastern and southern regions of Thailand.

The festival is divided into nine major zones, allowing visitors to explore new travel experiences across the country, daily from 10am to 9pm.

The first zone is Amazing Thailand where visitors will get a taste of virtual travel through a gigantic 360-degree LED box and a VR dome, an opportunity to chat with TAT's Vista Virtual Influencer, acquire travel information and shop for souvenirs.

The second to sixth zones are reserved for five themed villages representing the five regions. The Colourful Burapha Eastern Village will introduce famous landmarks of nine provinces, gemstones of Chanthaburi, and seafood and local delicacies from 50 shops while the Klang Buri Central Village is set in a temple fair atmosphere, inviting everyone to have fun with a carousel and a Ferris wheel and enjoy Songkran-themed decorations and a floating market.

Featuring the northern-style temple fair theme, the Faithival Northern Village highlights the legends of the region's Songkran traditions, a Lanna market offering traditional dishes, and a coffee corner that brings handicraft products and DIY activities. Then, prepare to get an immersive travel experience at the Southern Village which will also bring 40 famous shops to serve their signature dishes. There will be traditional performances, concerts, and a light and sound show every hour.

The Isan Festi Northeastern Village, meanwhile, will boast Isan soft power and cuisine. Foodies can indulge with local delicacies from 40 shops and enjoy art and crafts, DIY activities, and music performances.

For travel enthusiasts, the Thai Tourism Alliances Zone is a marketplace that gathers special deals and discounts on tourism products and services from eight tourism organisations.

The festival's highlight zone is the Main Stage which will feature cultural and contemporary performances, including khon masked dance, nora dance, Miss Thailand Tourism Festival beauty pageant, fashion shows and concerts by famous artists.

The last zone is Sustainable Tourism Goal which highlights TAT's sustainable tourism initiatives including low-carbon tourism routes.
