Ku De Ta

At long last the up-market Singaporean restaurant has opened a local branch

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

Bangkok's night owls and A-list celebrities were partying 'til dawn for the opening of Ku De Ta, one of Asia's most talked-about eating, drinking and entertainment venues of Balinese and Singaporean origin.

Among the attendees arriving in the late-night rain in their party finery were Supornthip Choungrangsee, Korn and Vorakorn Chatikavanij, Panot and ML Trinuch Sirivadhanabhakdi, Intira Thanavisuth, Vipada Donavanik, Permpoon and Jutatip Krairiksh, and Gunnigar Virojanavat, to name but a few.

Located on the 39th and 40th floors of Sathon Square Building, Ku De Ta offers a bird's-eye view overlooking the dazzling lights of one of Bangkok's liveliest districts.

The event started in the lobby when Spencer Roberts, managing director of Ku De Ta Bangkok, hit the gong to mark the opening and invite guests to the 39th floor. Guests were welcome to taste food and drinks from Ku De Ta's restaurant outlets; Izakaya's Japanese cuisine and Signature's modern Asian flavours, prepared by executive chef Jonathan Maza and his culinary team.

Later on, Justin Dunne, director of club and bar operations, hit the gong to open the Club Lounge section, followed by speeches of welcome from Mr Roberts and Chris Au, CEO of Ku De Ta.

Guests stayed on to enjoy the party and dance the night away with DJs, a video and lighting performance, and the finest drinks at the Club Lounge.
