A number of agencies and companies have announced services for people planning to attend the Oct 26 royal cremation ceremony:
Transport
- Expressway Authority of Thailand will waive the toll on Si Rat-Outer Ring Road in Bangkok on Oct 26. (see map of the expressway below)
- Nakhonchai Air, a privately owned interprovincial bus operator, will cut bus fares by 20% for all Bangkok-bound trips made on Oct 25 on 25 routes.
Retailing
- All but three branches of Tops Supermarkets and other stores under Central Food Retail Co Ltd will close at 3pm on Oct 26. The outlets are Central Food Hall, Tops Market, Tops Superstore, Super Koom, Tops Daily, Eathai, Segafredo Zanetti and Matsumoto Kiyoshi. The three branches that keep normal hours are Central Food Hall at CentralWorld, Tops Market at Central Plaza Rama II and Tops Market at Robinson Si Saman.
