WBC super-flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai announced his wedding date after successfully defending his title against Iran Diaz on Saturday.
Srisaket announced in the ring that he will marry Pornpimol Sarnkaew on Nov 11 in her native district of Lang Suan district in Chumphon. The boxer said he will give his bride-to-be 2 million baht and 20 baht weight of gold ornaments as a bride price.
His girlfriend was among 12,000 spectators at the packed Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani on Saturday to watch him fight the Mexican. Srisaket won the contest by a unanimous decision.
Friends posted pre-wedding pictures of the couple on their Facebook accounts after the champion made the announcement.
It will be the second planned wedding ceremony for the boxer.
Srisaket and Pachareewan Kanha, his former long-time girlfriend, broke up in May after a rocky14-year relationship. Shortly afterwards, the two also unveiled their new partners.
The boxer became engaged to Ms Pornpimol in Lang Suan in July while preparing for the Saturday fight.
