Singapore: With two world titles up for grabs, One 157: Petchmorakot vs Vienot kept fans on the edge of their seats at the weekend.

While one world champ defended his belt, the other lost it.

In the headliner of the event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, One featherweight Muay Thai world champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee battled Jimmy Vienot.

At the start, Vienot performed well as he managed to control the circle and land several head kicks on his opponent.

However, despite dumping Petchmorakot to the ground over and over, Vienot seemed to become more fatigued as his foe gained more energy.

This spelled trouble for the Frenchman in round four, where Petchmorakot landed a heavy cross that forced an eight count on Vienot.

The bout became even tighter at the end, but ultimately Petchmorakot walked away with a split-decision win, his belt, and a US$50,000 performance bonus.

The co-main event showcased one of the biggest upsets of the year as Joseph Lasiri forced defending One strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai to throw in the towel between rounds three and four.

Initially, the Thai fighter outworked Lasiri with his output. However, the Italian-Moroccan athlete used his combinations to slow Prajanchai.

After landing multiple punches and elbows, Lasiri had the upper hand and damaged his foe.

Prajanchai was unable to answer the bell for the fourth round, which earned the Italian fighter the nod, the One strawweight Muay Thai world title, and a $50,000 performance bonus.
