ONE Championship has recently announced that another huge crossover battle is on the horizon.

Newly minted ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan "The General" Haggerty faces bantamweight MMA king Fabricio "Wonder Boy" Andrade at ONE Fight Night 15 on Oct 7 in a historic battle at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

The two kings will battle for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title.

"The General" shocked the world earlier this year when he dispatched long-time divisional king Nong-O Hama in the opening round of their ONE Fight Night 9 contest to claim the bantamweight Muay Thai throne.

It was just his first appearance as a bantamweight after a temporary bout at catchweight and a six-fight run at flyweight that included a 2019 ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title win over another Thai legend in Sam-A Gaiyanghadao.

The Brit also went to war with megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon in two epic world title encounters before embarking on the four-fight win streak that he will take into ONE Fight Night 15.

But Andrade won't be coming to the ring empty-handed in search of two-sport world title glory.

In addition to his dominance over the ONE bantamweight MMA division, "Wonder Boy" had a successful Muay Thai career before joining the world's largest martial arts organisation in 2019.

Andrade began his training in "the art of eight limbs" at age 13 and has lived in Thailand for some time, where he trains at HIIT Studio/Marrock Force.

The Brazilian compiled an impressive professional Muay Thai record of 40-3 before making the transition to MMA full-time.

Andrade has remained unbeaten in his ONE Championship run so far, where he has reeled off six wins with one no contest.

The 25-year-old's latest victory was a stunning fourth-round TKO over long-time rival and former bantamweight MMA king John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7 in February.

ONE Fight Night 15 is headlined by a blockbuster all-Thai showdown between ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai, who puts his belt on the line against former featherweight kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn.
