Struggling Thai League 1 champions Buriram United will be hoping to bounce back when they host BG Pathum United on Sunday.

Both were well beaten at home in the AFC Champions League in midweek.

Buriram lost 2-0 to Australia's Melbourne City while Pathum were defeated 4-2 by Kawasaki Frontale of Japan.

Buriram have not won in four games with two draws in Thai League and two losses in the ACL.

Led by Thailand forward Supachai Chaided, the Thunder Castle have failed to score in two successive games.

Buriram coach Arthur Papas looked frustrated by his men's failure to find the back of the net.

"We had several chances to score in the ACL but this remains a problem for our team," said the Australian.

BG will be without striker Teerasil Dangda, who is nursing an injury and has been ruled out for up to two months.

Pathum coach Thongchai Sukkoki said: "We have to forget the ACL game with Kawasaki Frontale. We have to look forward to the game against Buriram. We know it will be a difficult match but we hope to pick up at least one point."

BG are second while Buriram sit fourth.

Leaders Port should have few problems when they visit Sukhothai on Friday.

Port are two points ahead of Pathum while Sukhothai are second from last.

Third-placed Bangkok United are at home to Ratchaburi on Sunday.

The Angels are brimming with confidence after beating Kitchee in Hong Kong in Group F of the ACL on Wednesday night.

Jakob Jantscher opened the scoring for the home team after six minutes.

Rungrath Phumichantuk levelled things on the stroke of half-time before Willen completed the turnaround after he scored from the penalty spot early in the second half.

In the other Group F match, South Korea's Jeonbuk beat Singapore's Lion City 3-0. After three games, Bangkok have nine points, Jeonbuk six, Lion City three and Kitchee zero.
