The True SMART 4G Adventure is what the company claims to be the first 4G walkie-talkie smartphone in Thailand.

True Corporation Plc has launched the True SMART 4G Adventure, calling it the country's first 4G smartphone that integrates walkie-talkie capabilities through True's Push-to-Talk application.

The phone, which comes with a four-inch screen, allows users to send messages to a maximum of 100 devices at the same time through the 4G network. Push-to-Talk also allows convenient text, image, and video transfers. Customers can choose to send image or video files through popular apps such as Line.

The True SMART 4G Adventure smartphone meets the IP68 waterproof and dustproof standard and its large battery can be used as a power bank.

A 2,000 baht discount will be offered on the device's 4,990 baht sticker price.

Customers who purchase the device and apply for the 4G+ Fun Unlimited package (399 baht per month) and pay the 500 baht service fee in advance will receive a 500 baht discount on their monthly service fee (100 baht per month for five months).

New customers can also use 4G on Push-to-Talk free for 12 months. This special promotion is available from today until Feb 28, 2018 at True Shops.

"TrueMove H understands the needs of customers who aim to communicate with multiple receivers at the same time using a walkie-talkie-like device, but with a further geographic reach. True SMART 4G Adventure is the only smartphone in Thailand that can communicate one-on-one and as a walkie-talkie to communicate with an entire group on one device through the TrueMove H 4G+ network," said Tuantong Srivichian, director of retail business at TrueMove.

The device is designed to support a variety of tasks. Pressing the button for five seconds sends an SMS and the customer's current location to a designated number.

The mobile works on the Android Nougat operating system, and has 8GB of RAM. It supports 4G on 900/850/1800/2100 megahertz, and 3G on 900/850/2100 MHz.

The smartphone features a five-megapixel primary camera with auto-focus, a two-megapixel front camera, and is powered by a 4200-mAh battery that can be used for up to seven days on standby status.
