Bank plans relaunch for enhanced ttb touch app

TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) plans to build up its digital ecosystem through its mobile banking app ttb touch to offer more than banking services.

The bank plans to relaunch ttb touch next month with new features under what it calls a "humanised digital banking" concept.

The bank wants to build a greater ecosystem via its app under a partnership strategy to offer "beyond banking services" in response to consumer demand during the digital era, said Naris Aruksakunwong, head of ttb spark, which is the bank's digital team that was launched yesterday.

He said the existing version of ttb touch has been providing digital loans and will be improved to cover additional loan products such as automotive and related services under the My Car feature.

Thanachart is one of the country's leaders in auto loan services. After the merger between TMB Bank and Thanachart Bank, ttb has been developing digital banking services and growing both users and banking transactions via the digital channel, said Mr Naris.

There are more than 4 million users on ttb touch, while the bank's total customer base is around 10 million.

Some 85% of ttb's banking transactions are conducted on the mobile banking app, he said.

Using ATMs is the second most popular channel for transactions, while transactions at traditional branches have declined to around 1%, Mr Naris said.

"We expect the number of ttb touch users to jump significantly over the next year or two, in line with changing consumer behaviour and lifestyles as well as the bank's digital banking development," he said.

The bank plans to develop new services and features on the app, aiming to launch the new features quarterly, said Mr Naris.

Rachakorn Chayapirad, another head of ttb spark, said the new division is a key part of the bank's digital transformation in order to provide a better experience and financial solutions to customers.
