Another Covid-19 case at Chula

Chulalongkorn University has found another Covid-19 case among its staff, raising the total there to 14.

The university reported late on Tuesday that aother infection had been detected during active case finding tests on 619 people deemed at risk.

Active screening began after infections were diagnosed among residents of the Chula Nivas staff dormitory at the university.

All the infected people were admitted to King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The university said that the dormitory was made a disease control zone and residents there were under 14-day quarantine andrequired to use a tracing app.

The university said it could control Covid-19 in its grounds with regular sanitisation and other measures.

The Institute for Urban Disease Control Prevention had surveyed its buildings and collected samples for Covid-19 tests, to prevent further transmission, the announcement said.

All infections detected have been people on staff. No students.
