806 new Covid inpatients, 15 more deaths

The country registered 15 more Covid-19 fatalities and 806 new cases admitted to hospitals during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.

This compared with the 13 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1,129 new cases admitted to hospitals reported on Wednesday morning.

All the 806 new patients were local cases.

On Thursday, 876 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 8,286 others were receiving treatment (down from 8,371 the previous day).

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4,676,338 Covid-19 cases, including 2,452,903 this year, with 4,635,369 complete recoveries to date.

The accumulated death toll stood at 32,683 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 10,985 so far this year.
