YALA — Two more bombs went off in Muang district in this southern province on Friday, police said.

The first bomb exploded at 5.45pm at a grocery shop and the second bomb went off 30 minutes later after explosive ordnance police were at the scene, police said.

The explosions put the shop on fire.

Pol Maj Gen Thanongsak Wangsupha, chief of Yala police, said the two bombs could be linked to a spate of bombings that rocked the district on Thursday night and Friday morning.

No injuries were reported.

Shop owner Manu Kadphab said two men came to his shop on Thursday evening and quickly left without buying anything.

Police have instructed all shops to alter authorities on suspicious objects in the wake of the bombing on Friday night.

The two bombs brought the total number of bombing incidents since Thursday night to 30. Twenty people were injured.
