First in the World! Bangkok University offers classes from the world’s best instructors on MasterClass.

Bangkok University (BU) is the first university in the world to offer its students classes from MasterClass, the streaming platform where anyone can learn from the world's best, to ignite their passion, enrich their learning experience and inspire them to adapt what they learn to their specific learning context. Students get unprecedented access to 150+ instructors and classes across a wide variety of fields, including Arts & Entertainment, Business, Design & Style, Sports & Gaming, Writing and more.

Aiming to offer unique learning opportunities and experience to students which differs from conventional learning practice is one of the key reasons for offering classes from MasterClass as part of the curriculum. Mr. Petch Osatanugrah, President of Bangkok University, states that while the University provides students with a great opportunity to receive professional training and personal coaching in their field of study, it also serves as a hub of knowledge from across the globe. Moreover, through MasterClass, one of Bangkok University’s international education alliances, the students are able to learn directly from the world’s best instructors, which can help them discover new passion and entice boundless inspiration and self-development.

MasterClass instructors include Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and Werner Herzog; in performance arts, Natalie Portman; or Marc Jacobs for fashion design; or chef Gordon Ramsay. Plus content about inclusive leadership skills with former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Students of all schools are able to learn without any additional cost but with close guidance and coaching from their BU instructors who select appropriate content and timing for effective learning outcomes. The “Exclusive Live” classes offer great opportunities for students to learn directly from MasterClass instructors.

Earlier in March, MasterClass and Bangkok University presented the “Exclusive Live” conversation session with world-renowned film director and MasterClass instructor Werner Herzog. Voted one of the Top 100 Most Influential People by Time Magazine in 2009, Werner Herzog met with BU students of the School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts via the exclusive online classroom. Students asked him questions via this exclusive online classroom and were inspired by his sheer professional mind-set, candid advice and words of encouragement.

This is only one example of how Bangkok University has paved the way in providing a supportive learning ecosystem to students which helps elevate their learning potential and professional skills needed for their future endeavours.
