Recently, Mr. Ichiro Sakakura, President of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., was invited to speak at the Thailand-Japan Economic Forum 2023. The forum focused on the future direction of co-creation in the economic field between Japan and Thailand, aiming to promote a new dimension of economic cooperation.
The goal was to foster sustainable development for economic growth by leveraging Japan's green growth strategy and Thailand's bio-circular, green (BCG) economic model. This model aims to build more resilient supply chains in various industrial sectors, including through BCG activities. The seminar took place at the Anoma Grand Hotel and was organised by the Board of Trade of Thailand in collaboration with the AEM-METI Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC).
As a representative of Ajinomoto Thailand, a leading Japanese-based food company in Thailand, Mr. Sakakura shared his insights on the future direction of economic cooperation and relations between Thailand and Japan. He emphasised the importance of co-creation in the economic field. Additionally, the president discussed and exchanged experiences related to eco-friendly business operations, highlighting the promotion of global sustainability. Ajinomoto follows the Bio-Circular-Green Economy Model, aligning with the company's commitment to co-create social and economic value. They strive to reduce environmental impacts and promote health and well-being for people, in line with "The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV)" framework, which guides the company's initiatives worldwide.
