Post Malone to make Thailand debut on Sept 14

Post Malone, who's nicknamed P' Mhee (Bear Brother) in Thai, will make his Thailand debut on the stage of Impact Challenger Halls 1-2, Muang Thong Thani on September 14.

The tatted American singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer will stop by Bangkok as part of his cheekily named "If Y'All Weren't Here, I'd Be Crying" tour. It is his fifth tour and kicked off in July with 26 dates in North America before the Asia leg was announced with Bangkok being the first stop before he performs in Manila, Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo, all in September.

Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, is known for his variegated vocal style and the versatility to traverse between different genres from hip-hop, pop, R&B and trap, describing himself as "genre-less".

With 10 songs in the one-billion-stream club on Spotify and more billions of YouTube views on his music videos, Malone's Thailand debut is a long time coming and highly anticipated.

Since breaking into the scene with his 2015 debut single White Iverson, which peaked at No.14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and currently tallies a cool 1.04 billion Spotify streams, Malone has released five studio albums with Austin being his latest drop in July this year. It debuted and peaked at No.2 on the Billboard 200.

Besides four No.1 singles Circles, Psycho, Rockstar and Sunflower, Malone has also released collab hits as a featured artist with fellow artists such as Lorde, French Montana, Ty Dolla Sign and DJ Khaled.

The exceptional chart performance of his singles is backed up by the accolades he has received. The 28-year Posty — yes, he's younger than Justin Bieber — has collected 30 wins out of 155 nominations, winning three American Music Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards and one MTV Video Music Award. In the Billboard Music Awards 2020 alone, he collected nine wins, including major categories such as Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Artist and Top Male Artist. Strangely enough, the Grammy Awards seems to be sleeping on him, giving him only nominations in major categories.

Judging from the set lists of his current world tour, fans in Thailand can reasonably expect a 20-plus song setlist, featuring hits from across his discography.

So, if you don't want him to be crying, be there by grabbing tickets to "Post Malone: If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying Tour in Bangkok" at bit.ly/3rhKXIq. The tickets are available in five tiers; B3,800, B4,800, B5,800, B14,000 and B15,500.

The last two are VIP packages, obviously. The second priciest ticket gets you one standing ticket in the front zone, a commemorative laminate and lanyard, an exclusive entrance into the venue, an exclusive bar area and an exclusive merch booth. The 1% can go for the costliest ticket to enjoy one stage-side sitting ticket, instead of a standing ticket and get the same four privileges.
