Bridging cultures through film

From Nov 14-30, those interested in foreign films shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to join the European Union Film Festival 2023. The festival will feature 18 films from 17 European countries at House Samyan, Alliance Française Bangkok and Embassy of the Netherlands in Bangkok.

Held under the theme "Bridging Cultures", this year's European Union Film Festival brings together the delegation of the European Union to Thailand with the embassies and cultural institutes of the EU Member States and Ukraine.

The European Union Film Festival aims to foster a better understanding of the European Union through cultural exchange. Over the years, the festival has brought the best films from Europe to Thailand. All the films have received praise, and have previously been screened at prestigious European film festivals.

The festival also shows Thai audiences the diversity of life in today's European Union.

All films are screened in their original languages with English and/or Thai subtitles. Admission is free. You can book tickets online for movies showing at House Samyan, or through Ticketmelon for movies showing at Alliance Française Bangkok and the Netherlands embassy.

You can reserve only a maximum of two tickets per showing and viewing is capped at no more than five showings per person. The audience cannot choose their seats. Advance movie ticket reservations close two days before each showing. By booking tickets you agree to the organiser's privacy terms.

Please check specific films for available subtitles. For more information and advance ticket reservation, please visit facebook.com/EUinThailand and ticketmelon.com.
