This is the third edition of the outdoor market, which is being held to foster connections among communities and to raise awareness about environmental protection as more than 50 vendors are set to bring their eco-friendly products made from local materials for sale.

Expect to see everyday items that can be sustainable alternatives to plastics such as bamboo straws, bamboo cotton buds and shampoo bars from Zero Waste Thailand; beeswax wraps from SuperBee; 100% natural latex mattress and pillows from Natural Living Concept; and cotton tote bags, bamboo toothbrushes, reusable cutlery sets and rattan bamboo baskets from Shibui_b.

Also available will be items from Patom Organic Living, Monsoon Tea, The Banana Warrior, Theristes, Ador Soap, Artist Amy Diener, The Good Stuff, Karaket Garden and Kebbio.

Many communities are also joining the fair, including Sampran Model, an inclusive business model based on organic social movement and fair trade; RoyRak Creative, which will present jewellery made by women from the Klong Toey slum in Bangkok; Our Land, which will present organic honey and Indian rosewood tea; as well as Second Chance Bangkok that will collect unwanted goods at the fair for people in Klong Toey slum to recycle and sell in their second-hand shop.

There will be a dozen of DIY workshops on both days where participants will learn to make a dream catcher, rice scrub, face mist, hand-wash foam, essential oil roll-on, natural liquid soap and non-toxic homemade cleaner. The fees range from 100 baht to 350 baht.

Complimentary workshops will also be available including pottery and wood painting, natural play dough making, leaf weaving, tea tasting and plant repotting.

The two-day event will be a good gathering for friends and family to enjoy delicious and healthy food, listen to live music and relax in a beautiful and cosy urban atmosphere.
