With a career spanning almost 30 years, Charlotte Tilbury, MBE, is one of the world's most influential make-up artists who launched her eponymous cosmetic brand back in 2013.

However, last October, she expanded the business to Thailand as the first Charlotte Tilbury Beauty counter opened in Paragon department store. In fact, the partnership with The Mall Group also led to a second retail space opening at Emporium.

Tilbury's mission is to share the power of make-up, which she discovered when she became a teenager.

"I was 13 when I wore mascara for the first time. It changed my life," she said.

"Overnight, people reacted to me in a different, more positive way. I felt more empowered, more beautiful and more confident. My frequency changed."

Her dream of becoming a make-up artist came true in the early 1990s, when she got her start in the fashion industry, working with supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.

By the age of 20, Tilbury was working alongside leading fashion stylists, journalists and photographers.

Her prowess was strengthened by her artistic DNA, since her father Lance is a painter who taught her the rules of art as well as the use of colours, tonality and contrasts.

Meanwhile, her mother Patsy was a fashion producer and beauty role model and she introduced her to the powerful and positive world of make-up. The Hot Lips 2 collection of refillable lipsticks include a shade called Patsy Red, which is an homage to her mother.

"My mother has always been so glamorous. I've never seen her without perfectly-painted nails and her signature red lips," she said. "I used to watch her applying her ruby red lipstick and she would tell me as she put it on -- lipstick is instant glamour and it will take you anywhere." From a young age, Tilbury was fascinated by the impact a beautiful woman has when she enters a room.

"I wanted to understand the different types of beauty and how you can magnetise and hypnotise," she said. "I would spend hours studying photos of silver-screen icons from Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn to Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich -- learning from each image and thinking how can I steal a bit of their beauty DNA and bottle it?"

The self-learning of beauty archetypes and facial architecture involved exercises such as how to make eyes look bigger, skin look fresher, lips look fuller and brows the pillars of the face.

Throughout her career, the British make-up artist has created countless beauty styles and trends. Besides supermodels, she believes that everyone at any age deserves to look and feel like the most beautiful version of themselves through the power of make-up.

Hence, she created the 10 Looks Wardrobe to provide ready-to-wear make-up styles and beauty products.

"Just like a fashion stylist puts together looks, using the perfect cuts, the most flattering fit and eye-catching colours, I have used my skills to create products that enhance the look of your facial architecture, light up the eyes and perfect every pout -- my products take the guesswork out of it and make you feel safe. All of my looks are expertly edited and styled, so you can be whoever you want to be," she said.

The 10 looks range from The Rebel and The Supermodel to The Uptown Girl and The Bombshell.

The Supermodel, for instance, is described as the epitome of natural beauty amplified. With a glowing freshness on the complexion, youthful-looking dreamy eyes, and a runway-ready pout, her beauty is completely individual.

Meanwhile, the polished and elegant Uptown Girl is rarely seen with an eyelash out of place and always looks groomed, glossy and gorgeous, while the glamorous Bombshell stands out with a slick of hypnotising Hollywood red on her lips.

The 10 Looks Wardrobe can be found at the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty counter, which also features the Makeup Revolution Bar, Lip Bar and Magic Skin Bar featuring Tilbury's award-winning cream and other skincare formulas.
