Intouch Holdings has launched a virtual exhibition to showcase award-winning paintings from the 14th Thai Art and Literature Contest.

The art pieces are also available for purchase online. All the proceeds without deduction will be donated to the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Foundation for granting scholarships to underprivileged children.

The contest was organised last year for primary to college students. The aim was to encourage youths to use their imagination to interpret and portray their favourite literature through visual art. The contest had two themes which were "I Love Thailand" and "Love The Environment, Love The Earth".

The contest received about 1,430 entries from participants in four categories including primary, secondary, high school and college students. Winners were selected by a panel comprising of seven experts in visual arts and literature namely Naowarat Pongpaiboon, Chalermchai Kositpipat, Sathianpong Wannapok, Khunying Wimon Chiamcharoen (whose one of the famous pen names is Thomnayanti), Panya Vijinthanasarn, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Art Centre director Sangkom Thongmee and Fine Art magazine editor-in-chief Tawatchai Somkong.

The virtual exhibition displays 44 paintings that won the first, second, third prizes as well as another 22 outstanding awards.

There is also a short video clip to let the audience know about the inspiration of each winner. Each painting can be purchased online at intouchstation.com.
