Due to similar symptoms, dry and dehydrated skin are often mistaken as being the same thing.
However, Panpuri's product development team noted the difference when creating the Nourish RiceMoss HyaQuench collection to address both concerns.
Dry skin becomes a problem when the skin isn't able to naturally produce oil. It can also be considered a skin type, while dehydrated skin is a temporary condition due to a lack of moisture, which can occur in any skin type whether normal, dry or oily.

From its ZeroList, over 2,300 harmful or controversial ingredients are prohibited in the formulations of Panpuri products. Nine on the list, such as sulphates, silicones, parabens, EDTA and PEG, have been highlighted as "The 9 No-Nos".
"Over the past 18 years, we have developed every step of our process, including ingredient sourcing, production and packaging to be more user- and environmentally-friendly as well as cruelty-free under our proprietary ZeroList standard," he said.
A combination of hyaluronic acids, rice amylopectin and moss cell in the RiceMoss HyaQuench technology aims for multi-level skin hydration while strengthening the skin's natural barrier.
The hydration is powered by eight hyaluronic acids in different sizes. The tiny size allows a deeper penetration of the water-retaining hyaluronic acid while the larger molecules act like magnets, drawing in moisture from the outside to keep the skin hydrated.
The moisturisation is locked and sealed by the rice amylopectin derived from Oryza sativa var. glutinosa from the northeastern region of Thailand. Only discarded rice from the milling process is sourced to obtain this key ingredient, following Panpuri's sustainable Zero Waste practice.
From over 3,500 varieties in Thailand, ranging from wild rice to newly created species, this sticky rice rich in amylopectin was selected for Panpuri's formulation, believing that it helps build a moisture-holding matrix for optimal water retention.
