More than 200 varieties of mooncakes are available during "Mooncake Festival 2021", which is running at the Market Hall of Paragon and the Gourmet Eats and Gourmet Market at Emporium, EmQuartier and all branches of The Mall (except Ramkhamhaeng and Korat), until Sept 21.

The festival is another symbolic event for families of Chinese descent to gather and spend quality time together. It is also a chance to enjoy delicious mooncakes originally made as offerings to the moon deity. The confectionery is called khanom yue bing which means abundance, wholeness and fulfilment.

It is the only time of year that a selection of the best legendary mooncakes with unique recipes from leading hotels and restaurants, as well as famous shops from overseas are available.

They include signature mooncakes with egg custard filling made from premium organic ingredients from Peninsula Hotel; traditional recipes with a variety of fillings prepared by master chefs of Shangri-La Hotel; and homemade mooncakes made from fresh and hygienic ingredients which are baked fresh daily by Banyan Tree Bangkok.

Also, expect to see mooncakes with unique fillings made with traditional methods by the seasoned and professional chefs of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park; and the signature recipe of hand-made mooncakes baked fresh daily in a variety of traditional flavours by Dusit Thani Bangkok.

Other highlights include Shangarila Restaurant's mooncakes, which are known for their thin crust and soft extra fillings of premium quality ingredients; and Kyo Roll En's premium limited-edition collaboration mooncake set prepared with traditional Chinese methods by two famous chefs who use premium ingredients from the southern parts of Thailand and Japan.

Other popular brands offered at the festival are Harrods, Golden Dragon, Phoenix Lava, Rolling Pinn, S&P, Tae Jin Seng Bakery, Whisk and Butter, and more.
