SAC Gallery invites art lovers to delve into the world of illustration during "Wrap", which is running at its Art Centre Bldg, until April 2.

This is an opportunity to learn more about the charm of this art form through a selection of works by six renowned illustrators who have invented methods and attractive characters to express their perspectives.

An illustration involves a social observation. It's a method of studying and understanding various aspects of the world -- from global politics, living things, to the relationship of young people.

On display are more than 30 unique illustrations that reflect the fundamental anatomy of spaces and objects, consisting of visible and tangible shapes and textures as well as different types of characters.

Pomme Chan gives the meaning of home -- a living space that encapsulates relationships and life -- by showing the activities inside it. Meanwhile, Tuna Dunn shows stories of daily life, relationships, and love that is simple but special and delicate.

Brightside expresses the chaos of societies and politics through characters while the "collage" by Sethapong Povatong, aka Double O Seth, is created as a result of research and collection of old illustrations which are then put together into a new story filled with history and contemporary events.

Phannapast Taychamaythakool shows the integration of Eastern and Western paintings that are full of the charm of coloured lines together with diverse characters while 2Choey recreates well-known characters from our childhood memories by redesigning new faces into a unique sign language.

The exhibition is opening for viewing on the 1st floor of Art Centre Bldg. The gallery is on Sukhumvit 39 and opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
