CentralWorld invites everyone to greet the Year of the Tiger with the best of auspiciousness rendered through art by HRH Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana during "Sirisinlapin Exhibition", until Feb 28.

Presented under the "Nature Reigns Supreme in the World. Art Is Having Freedom in Oneself" concept, the exhibition showcases the royal talent of the princess who has created a tiger collection of around 60 paintings that portray the creature in various environments and gestures.

The term Sirisinlapin means an artist who creates auspicious and beautiful works of art in a variety of fields. For this exhibition, it refers to the princess who portrays the tiger, a symbol of the king of the forest, as a comparison to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, who ruled with mercy and kindness.

Each painting is rather unique as various letters, DNA markers and initials for genetic materials are discreetly featured in the tiger pattern.

The practice is inspired by the princess's scientific experience, combined with her imagination based on context, to convey emotions and feelings through shapes and meanings of the elements she is naturally familiar with.

Her art reflects life, breath, dreams, self-love and love for the family, the people of Thailand and the world.

A total of 22 prints of the Princess' paintings are displayed alongside a sculpture and a mixed media work that replicates her art. There is also a digital art show featuring interactive art and 3D models of tigers with animation.

The exhibition is open for viewing at the Eden 3 zone on the 3rd floor. Souvenirs inspired by the royal paintings such as mugs, shirts, key chains, leather goods, jewellery and perfume from Siam Glitter 1957 are available. They can also be purchased from siamglitters1957.com and chulabhornhospital.com.

Twenty-six other reproductions are being exhibited at Central Korat in Nakhon Ratchasima until Feb 6.
