New Hermès line on everyone's lips

Making lipstick is a truly artistic process for Hermès, whose three maestros are behind limited-edition Rouge Hermès.

Creative director of Hermès Beauty, Gregoris Pyrpylis, picked three blazing red shades from his volcanic palette.

As exuberant as lava, Rouge Feu is a fiery red with an intense matte finish while Rouge Cinabre is a vermillion red that shimmers like quicksilver.

Rouge Grenat differs with its crimson-red translucence and mineral flashes of garnet between red and purple, all the more distinctive for being metallic and matte.

The moisturising lipsticks contain white mulberry extract while highly concentrated pigments leave their mark with a single sweep.

Moreover, they're scented with notes of arnica, sandalwood and candied angelica flower as part of a composition by Christine Nagel, director of creation and olfactory heritage for Hermès Parfums.

The volcanic reds burst from tubes by Pierre Hardy, designer of Hermès Beauty objects and creative director for shoes and jewellery.

Defined as objects, the refillable tubes boast a combination of metallic nuances and solid colours inspired by Art Deco lacquers.

Launched in March 2020, Rouge Hermès is the first beauty product by the French luxury brand, which encompasses 16 métiers. The Beauty métier expanded its product range to include Les Mains Hermès nail enamel.

With their metallic finish echoing the shimmering lipsticks, limited-edition nail enamels are in emblematic Gris Étain, a radiant anthracite with silvery glints, along with Violet Manganèse with its magnetic colour like ore deposited in rock.
