SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

The Lakefront of Impact, Muang Thong Thani, will be transformed into a favourite hangout for coffeeholics during Coffee Playground which will be running for three days from 8am to 7pm, starting this Friday.

Held for the first time under the theme "Coffee, Human And Nature", this is an opportunity for coffee lovers to have fun looking for their favourite coffee and enhance their coffee experiences with other varieties that go through different processing and making styles.

What makes the fair unique will be a gathering of speciality coffee beans and drinks, ingredients and equipment at 45 booths, with at least 30 well-known brands set to participate.

They include DoiTung, Brewlab, Tabla, Crack and Co, I roast coffee therefore I am, Brave Roaster, Sudrit Nan, The Coffee Academics, The Drip Library, Grazioso, Chillrista and Moon.S Cafe.

Coffee aficionados are also invited to enjoy many activities including a latte art demonstration by celebrities, a coffee workshop by DoiTung, an art meets coffee session by Freddiepp, and a signature coffee menu by Monin.

The Zero Waste campaign will also be implemented at the fair. Same Thang, the country's first start-up that recycles coffee bean bags into money pockets and wallets, will be there to collect unused plastic packages of coffee beans.

There will also be a corner where participating coffee shops will discard their old coffee grounds and everyone is free to scoop some of them to take home to use as fertiliser for their plants.

Also, expect to shop for a variety of camping gear which will be presented at special prices and indulge in delicious foods amid the relaxing atmosphere by the lake.

There is no admission fee. Visit facebook.com/CoffeePlaygroundTH or call 02-833-5122.
