With the goal of bringing extraordinary functionality and designs to wrists, Swiss watchmaker Mido recently held the Mido Novelties Presentation 2023 event to display the utility of opulent timepieces from seven collections at Jim Thompson Art Center.

One of the highlights was the Multifort M Chronometer timepiece with its automatic Caliber 80 movement, which can reserve power for up to 80 hours and its silicon balance spring can withstand magnetic fields. It is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) for its accuracy.

The green dial features a gradient effect that fades from green to black around the edges and intricate vertical satin finishing, while the Super-LumiNova coating on the hands and indexes helps with accurate timekeeping in low light conditions.

"The event aims to highlight Mido's strong position as a high-quality Swiss watch brand that is accessible to everyone. Each collection still maintains a unique design that can cater to all styles of wearers. At the same time, the watch functions can meet the needs of all activities, including diving or adventure sports, daily wear, and women's watches that combine beauty and functionality," said Panuwat Thongpoom, a brand vice-president of Mido (Thailand).

The diving watch Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer Special Edition retains the distinctive features of the original dial design and comes with a GMT function and a high-performance bezel that displays the time around the world through two designs.

Designed to be durable in all conditions, it has a robust polished stainless steel case on a deep blue background dial and displays the water compression depth up to 6m indicated by a yellow, green, pin, and blue circle on the dial.
