On display is a collection of remarkable art pieces meticulously crafted from leather, each of them embodying intricate artistry that reveals the limitless possibilities of this timeless material.

Each artist presents a fresh perspective on the imaginative use of leather in their own distinctive styles. They have selected leather suitable for their artistic process and integrated them with traditional and contemporary innovations, as well as the techniques and expertise of artisans.

The resulting creations demonstrate the opportunities to transcend the boundaries of craftsmanship in diverse media, be it sculptures, weavings or paintings by the 12 exceptional artists.

They include Kitikong Tilokwattanotai who uses leather to add complexity and texture to his semi-abstract art, Lookplew Janputsa who adopts a new creative medium in her previous works to alter viewers' emotions towards her art, and Prach Niyomkar who masters his knowledge and experience in eco-friendly textile art to create dyed-leather artworks.

Meanwhile, Samita Rungkwansiriroj has chosen to intertwine the natural lines of leather with the arrangement of lines from traditional Thai weaving, Rukkit combines debossing and collage techniques to create artwork on animal hides.

Viewers can expect to witness a mix of airbrush and collage techniques on leather by Somyot Hananuntasuk before exploring images of water waves by Temjai Cholsiri, mixed media work that perfectly combines discarded items with leather by Thaiwijit Puengkasemsomboon, as well as debossed and painted leather wall panels by Trey Hurst.

A well-known figure in product design, Udom Udomsri-anant applies animal hide to create artwork that preserves his original design philosophy, while Wasinburi Supanichvoraparch experiments with the combination of two contrasting materials, ceramic and leather.

The exhibition also presents a new version of wall art and sculptures previously crafted by the late street artist and graphic designer Mamafaka. They have been reimagined using leather as a medium for this show.
