Art lovers are invited to embark on a journey into the underground chambers of our psyche during "Basement In Your Soul", which is running at RCB Galleria 4, 2nd floor of River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24, until March 3.
This is the first solo exhibition by Napath Kuntaruck aka Fahfahs, who draws a parallel between the intricate emotions of humanity and a grand mission that guides viewers down the stairs to explore the tiny chambers within the soul.
The exhibition presents the tales of Midnight, a girl filled with scars and a love for embracing darkness, and Sunshine, a girl seeking and radiating light.
Fahfahs first introduced the black-clad fairy Midnight in a group exhibition last year. The character became the embodiment of loneliness, imperfection, and solitude, resonating deeply within the viewers' souls and becoming a beloved character.
From there, the artist found inspiration in exploring human emotions and delving into the uncharted territories of her own psyche -- emotions like loneliness, solitude, and profound despair along her path.
However, she believed that transcending this darkness required an immense inner strength, gradually forged from within. This struggle culminated in this show, born from the depth of her being.
The artist wishes that the show empowers many to confront their inner darkness and seek their own guiding light on this collective journey.
