HOP Photo Gallery is showcasing "In Front Of The Camera – In The Process Of Looking", a solo exhibition by photographer Kornkit Jianpinidnan from now until April 21.
The exhibition investigates the reality of photos and creates dialogue with the artistic process in which Kornkit has first-hand experience, including the condition of how an object appears in front and the pre- and post-production process.
Kornkit is interested in photography as a device of knowledge, logic, changing reality and the relationship between the experience and the gaze of different situations. His photos lead audiences into a trance of objects. He immerses himself in these objects, creating direct interactions between them and the audience through photography. His photos not only reveal their condition but also offer new experiences that provide audiences a world of details, methods, techniques and installations.

Photos taken in various occasions and contexts, from documentaries and commercials to experimental, have been chosen for the exhibition. They have been expanded and reproduced in new spatial and temporal contexts. It is like looking back in time and then re-narrating from different angles and perspectives, connecting time with the movement and change of language.
Kornkit takes us into the reverie of time and creates dialogue that connects and knits like how a stream flows endlessly. These photos emit light which embrace time and the evolution towards their zenith. Audiences will also discover the meaning of photos and various techniques which influence our thinking.
