Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre will present a number of craft masterpieces as well as 1,000 artworks in an exhibition that will kick off on Saturday and run until Aug 12 at the Lifestyle Hall, 2nd floor of Siam Paragon, Rama I.

Titled "Stylistic Diversity In Painting, Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts And Crafts Centre", the exhibition is held with the aim to celebrate the birthday anniversary of HM Queen Sirikit, a major benefactor of Thai arts and crafts.

On display will be a collection of oil paintings and applied paintings as well as pottery artworks and lacquer works that have traditional Thai painting woven into them. Having graced many national-level art shows before, they are created by Bang Sai centre's masters and students from various fields who will also be there to demonstrate their craftsmanship.

Among the highlighted pieces will be a 100x150cm oil painting portraying HM the Queen executed by master Saman Klungjaturut, a mixed-media sculpture titled Barn, a porcelain titled The Land Of Happiness, a powder-coated and gilded Thai lacquer work featuring Wat Suthat Thepphawararam, a plate painting featuring marine life of the Andaman Sea, and a tile painting depicting Lord Buddha.

Part of the proceeds will be presented to HM the Queen to support the Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre.
