Central Embassy is holding "A Sense Of Thai 2018" where visitors will experience the unique charm of each region and learn more about Thai traditions through various activities held under the theme "Nirat Central (Central Journey)", from tomorrow to April 22. The fair will also take place at Central Chidlom from April 12-15.

For 19 days, Central Embassy will be filled with hundreds of floating lanterns that will remind us of the breathtaking sky of Chiang Mai. The magnificent display is to mark the beginning of Thai New Year.

Visitors are invited to pour water on Buddha statues for blessings on the ground floor before proceeding to witness the Thai rice exhibition and a showcase of gold accessories and handmade bags at the The Balcony on the 2nd floor.

A variety of quality Thai products from over 20 renowned shops will be available at Dok Khun Market on the 5th floor from tomorrow to April 16 while creative workshops will be held every weekend throughout the month at The Open House on the 6th floor. This is a chance to learn to make Thai desserts, fold lotus petals, make classic retro toys, paint Thai-style patterns on a ceramic plate and create accessories using Thai weaving techniques.

At the Eathai zone on LG floor, the "Cool Down With Thai Food And Desserts" festival will be serving a variety of sumptuous Thai traditional dishes including the royal recipes by ML Nueng Nilrat and rarely-seen menus from The Foodie by Kannicha Kitchen, from tomorrow to April 16. The authentic recipe of khao chae with unique side dishes is also available there throughout the month.

Exclusively from April 13-16, visitors will experience the traditional Songkran atmosphere and enjoy free workshops on garland making and pla taphian weaving.

The adjacent Central Chidlom, meanwhile, will be packed with interesting activities held under the theme "Nirat Central (Central Journey)" for only four days from April 12-15, starting at 11am.

Buddha statues will be housed there for the bathing rites and rare Thai performances will be staged daily from 11am-6pm. They are based on the farewell poetry in the Thai literature representing each of the four regions -- Nirat Muang Klaeng (eastern region), Nirat Phra Bat (central region), Nirat Pak Tai (southern region) and Nirat Hariphunchai (northern region). There will also be a daily workshop on garland making and Thai dessert cooking with different menus on each day.
