BG Pathum United coach Makoto Teguramori admitted on Saturday night that his star-studded team put on an inferior show and lost 2-0 to a "better" Lamphun Warriors side in their Thai League 1 clash.

Lamphun were put on course by Negueba in the 20th minute and Aly Cissokho doubled their advantage 20 minutes into the second half as the Warriors picked up three points from the home game.

Teguramori was quick to admit after the match that the Rabbits had "failed to get a good result at Lamphun".

"They [Lamphun] are a good team and we couldn't handle them.

"The atmosphere at the stadium also put our players under a lot of pressure with the home team fans cheering their club all the way.

"The effects of this result will linger for some time. We will have to learn how to play under pressure in away games."

Lamphun Warriors coach Aleksandre Gama said: "It's a fantastic result for the team and we did play a better game than Pathum United.

"I am grateful to our fans for supporting us the way they did tonight but I think we should have scored more goals."

In other matches on Saturday night, hosts Police Tero drew their first game under new coach Tan Cheng Hoe 1-1 against Nakhon Pathom United.

A northern derby produced another disappointing result for 10-man Chiang Rai United as they went down 2-1 to Sukhothai.

Hosts Khon Kaen United held title-chasing Port to a goalless draw.
