AIS, Huawei join forces for '1Gbps Every Room'
Ms Sunee says AIS Fibre remains focused on improving the user experience of quality home internet and providing the best possible experience to customers.

AIS Fibre, a high-speed broadband internet service provided by Advanced Info Service (AIS), is collaborating with global tech powerhouse Huawei Technologies to deliver a home internet service benchmarked to gigabit standards, offering "1Gbps Every Room", dubbed a first for the local fixed broadband industry.

The service uses Huawei's transparent fibre-optic technology. Connected to the router, the system creates a home network supporting gigabit speeds in every room of the home, connected to the same network.

The system supports future speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps), and WiFi connections for seamless roaming.

In addition to convenience for customers, the transparent cables can follow every bend and corner in the house, helping them to blend in with the interior.

The cables also boast low power consumption and are five times smaller than a regular cable.

Sunee Rojanaolarnrat, head of fixed broadband marketing at AIS, said AIS Fibre would remain focused on improving the user experience of quality home internet and providing the best possible experience to customers.

The service is designed for families in large houses with many rooms and levels, allowing people to watch movies, work, video-conference, play video games and live-stream, all from different rooms.

"One fibre connects the router to create a gigabit-scale internet network. This connects the WiFi signal in the house with seamless roaming on the same network," she said.

"AIS Fibre genuinely addressed a pain point for customers working at home who have a large house with many floors. The lack of WiFi coverage in some spots in the house has been eliminated. We are also serving customers who demand a fast, stable and quality signal with optimal efficiency."

The 1Gbps Every Room service is being launched in Greater Bangkok with a package starting at 1,399 baht per month for three rooms, with other packages serving up to eight rooms.
