From its first professional diver's watch, Omega has extended the Seamaster family to include Aqua Terra, Diver 300M, Planet Ocean and Heritage Models.

This year, the Swiss brand revisits the Seamaster 300 from the 1950s and the Diver 300M, launched in 1993, to deepen its expertise in timepieces worn underwater.

Alongside Speedmaster and Railmaster, the Seamaster 300 was a part of the Professional Trilogy created in 1957.

The original watch was equipped with an ingenious high-pressure water-proofing system, and its bezel was designed with a safety feature to prevent accidental turning during dives. The black dial featured luminous indexes and large hands for easy reading underwater.

Thanks to a new domed sapphire crystal, the redesign has resulted in a slimmer Seamaster 300, housed in a 41mm stainless steel case with an ergonomically-adjusted bracelet for streamlined fittings.

Made from a harder oxalic, anodised-treated aluminium, the thinner bezel as well as the slim inner frame have given the dial a larger display.

The dial has been modified with a sandwich construction, whose base layer with Super-LumiNova is topped by a second plate with cuttings for recessed hour markers and Arabic numerals that recall those from 1960s Seamaster 300 models.

With its tip filled with Super-LumiNova, a lollipop central seconds hand has been reintroduced in the latest stainless steel Seamaster 300, whose versions with a black or blue dial are matched with a brown leather strap or bracelet.

The third new Seamaster 300 boasts the patent-pending Bronze Gold, which premieres as its case and buckle.

Based in Bienne, Omega has been developing exclusive alloys for its innovative watchmaking. A mix of gold, palladium and silver, the skin-friendly Bronze Gold gleams in a hue that is in between the shades of Moonshine Gold and Sedna Gold.

The corrosion resistance comes without verdigris-oxidation, and it will therefore age slowly and retain its natural and beautiful patina over a longer period of time.

As the dial is an internal component, it could be made from a common bronze alloy in a contrasting dark brown with a patina obtained after a special ageing process. The matching bezel ring is in brown ceramic with a diving scale in vintage Super-LumiNova.

The caseback of the Seamaster 300 has a wave-edged design while the sapphire crystal reveals the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912.

The Swiss brand has also reinterpreted the Seamaster Diver 300M, immediately recognisable by a wave pattern on the dial and a helium escape valve at 10 o'clock. Its creative watchmaking has taken advantage of ceramic's versatility in dressing this watch in contrasting shades from a single colour.

To signify the ocean's darkest corners, the 43.5mm case, crown and helium escape valve of the new Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black are in black ceramic, matched with an integrated rubber strap in the same colour.

The dial is also in black ceramic yet easy to read despite the dark colour scheme. Anthracite Super-LumiNova on the diving scale, black PVD indexes, skeleton hands and dot at 12 o'clock ensure visibility of the essential markers that all glow in different colours in the dark while in daylight, the anthracite turns them dark-grey.

In addition, details, such as the iconic waves and minute track, have been laser-ablated in positive relief on the face of the watch. On the caseback, the sapphire crystal offers a clear view of Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806.

In a more vibrant colour scheme, the Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020 is inspired by the emblem of the postponed Olympic Games, which will take place in Japan's capital this summer.

Omega has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. For the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the commemorative model is presented in a 42mm stainless steel case with a blue ceramic bezel ring and a diving scale accentuated by white enamel.

Blued hands and indexes contrast with the white ceramic dial, with a date window at 6 o'clock and the Seamaster name highlighted in red at 12 o'clock.

The emblem of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games appears on the caseback of the watch, powered by Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 displayed through the sapphire crystal.

Guaranteed by a five-year warranty, all of the new Seamaster 300 and Diver 300M models and their self-winding movements have been certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology at the industry's highest standards of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.
