The Covid-19 pandemic has deprived us almost completely from the pleasures of fine dining for quite a while now.

For those missing the combinations of superb flavours, premium ingredients and distinctive culinary styles with the touch of a seasoned chef, the "Wongnai x Chef Cares" campaign has been initiated to help chefs and restaurants deliver sets to diners' doorstep.

The well-planned campaign brings together 16 restaurants that want to keep their fine dining spirit even when they serve the clientele via home delivery. The restaurants include Fat Lamb, Sushi Zo, 99 Chicken Pot, Gaa, Caper by Dan Bark, Cocolombo and Savelberg.

They are offering value specialities at fixed prices of 599 baht and 999 baht per set. Here are some flavourful dishes that three participating eateries have created to impress bons vivants.

-  Gaa, a contemporary Indian restaurant that applies traditional cooking techniques to Thai ingredients, is presenting lamb shank that is simmered for eight hours to achieve fall-off-the-bone tenderness and a melt-in-the mouth sensation. The set (999 baht) comes with rotis and signature condiments as an appetiser.

It also offers other popular dishes such as grilled milk and Wagyu beef served with mixed herbs and yeast aquafaba (599 baht) and spicy uni bites (999 baht).

- Cocolombo reveals the unique flavours of Sri Lanka with a signature mutton leaf curry with coconut dahl, sambal and banana bondhi with salted caramel (999 baht) and king mackerel leaf curry with jackfruit salad, sambal and banana bondhi with salted caramel (599 baht).

A palatable option for vegetarians is the meat-free set of mango leaf curry with coconut dahl, sambal, jackfruit salad and banana bondhi with salted caramel (599 baht) that allows customers to switch from mango curry to either potato or jackfruit curry. All offerings are delivered in banana leaf and paper packaging and containers.

-   Caper by Dan Bark will put diners under the spell of modern American cuisine with truffle brioche toast and signature caesar salad, a culinary creation of Michelin-star chef Dan Bark. The set comes with the option to include either seared duck breast (999 baht) or grilled pork chop (599 baht) as main course.
