K-culture celebrated with online programmes for children

Here's another opportunity to enjoy Korean culture while staying at home as the Korean Cultural Center (KCC Thailand) presents a virtual screening of a Korean non-verbal play on Friday and brings back the "Online K-pop Academy" starting next week, free of charge.

Junk, Clown is a play illustrating humanity by the Hyunjang Theater Company, a Korean theatre production for children. It shows clowns who love to frolic and are always laughing and having fun together with endless games and pranks.

Playing with discarded drums, bicycle handles, broken bowls and dented pots make them excited and joyful, just like exploring mazes in an amusement park. Lasting for 49 minutes, the mime performance is suitable for children to watch with adults. It can be viewed via KCC Thailand's Facebook page on Friday at 6.10pm.

After the success of its first two classes conducted by Kevin Yoon and Park Jun-hee from Korea last month, the famous "Online K-pop Academy" is back with two new classes by two famous vocal and dance trainers.

The K-pop dance class by Park will take place every Monday and Thursday from Sept 20 to Oct 7 while the K-pop vocal class by Kevin will run every Tuesday and Friday from Sept 21 to Oct 8. Both classes will be presented via Zoom, from 6pm to 7.30pm. The registration deadline is on Thursday.
