Visualising the aspects of an unhealthy mind

The complexities of an unhealthy human mind and its reflection in society are portrayed through 16 vibrant paintings by three young talented female artists during “Fractured Realities”, which is running on the 4th floor of Central The Original Store, Charoen Krung Road, until July 30.

This is the first collaboration by Wanda Chaima, Saengrawee and Rattanapron Sisawat who provide a thought-provoking space that encourages introspection and dialogue around the psychological well-being of individuals within a larger societal contest.

Through their unique artistic expressions, they present the story of a state of mind, societal pressure and various forms of harassment and dissonance between the inner and outer worlds.

Wanda touches on the many facets of humans in a society of many contradicting elements. Her works reflect disconcerting truths and evoke ideas about the complexity underlying human experience in today’s society.

Saengrawee takes viewers to explore the adventures of friends of different races of Bud Bunny, a rabbit-like character with an emotionless face whose goal is to find a place of happiness.

Rattanapron, meanwhile, uses a doll as a main character to present the topic of human allergies. She compares invisible but dangerous dust mites hidden in the doll to the evil that is hidden in people in society.

Art enthusiasts are also invited to create their own art pieces at the “Painting Bar Workshop” conducted by veteran artists on the 3rd floor, daily from 10am to 6pm (except Monday) until July 31.
