Interested people are invited to experience virtual technologies without limitations during "The New Reality", which is running at Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC), until Oct 29.
Organised by the Creative Economy Agency, the exhibition is part of its larger programme to promote a creative ecosystem for the development of virtual worlds.
It features a fusion of creativity and technology through three main activities. The first is a 4K digital art installation which presents an immersive experience of visuals, smells and sounds. Visitors can explore the virtual world beyond imagination using augmented reality technology. The installation is showcased at the Meeting Point, 1st floor and Rooftop Garden, 5th floor.
Then, visitors are encouraged to look back into the past and learn to understand the future of virtual technology at two zones located at the Creative Space, 5th floor.
The "Createch & Virtual Production Introduction" zone shows how creativity and technology can bring about new forms of businesses and industries, most of which are related to art installation, music and entertainment, animation and virtual production. The "Virtual Production Kiosk", meanwhile, allows visitors to get involved in a demo virtual production and try out interactive virtual screen systems with VR and AR technologies.
There will also be an exclusive seminar on Oct 21 where representatives from renowned universities will be sharing their insights on how to adapt, prepare and change educational programmes on virtual technology to help produce personnel in virtual production. It will take place at the Virtual Media Lab, 4th floor.
The TCDC is located at the Grand Postal Building on Charoen Krung Road and opens daily from 10.30am to 7pm, except Monday.
