The National Archives of Thailand invites people to the Sarbica International Symposium 2023, which will take place at Grand Fortune Hotel, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Nov 21 and 22. The registration deadline is today.

Held to mark the 55th anniversary of the Southeast Asia Regional Branch International Council on Archives (Sarbica), the symposium focuses on the theme "Archives In The Digital Era: Changes, Adaptations, Achievements".

It aims to facilitate sharing knowledge, experience, technology and academic information as well as to address practical challenges in order to foster equitable development of archival practices in Southeast Asian countries.

The event is a platform for collaboration among countries in the region, promoting understanding and awareness of archival work among personnel from various agencies, organisations and educational institutions.

Participants will have the opportunity to acquire archival knowledge from both foreign and Thai speakers. They can also attend the exhibition during the "Night At The Museum" activity at the National Museum Bangkok; pay a visit to the Thai Film Archives (Public Organisation) in Salaya, Nakhon Pathom; and go on a field trip to Ayutthaya where they will stop by the Ayutthaya Historical Park, the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum and Wat Chaiwatthanaram.

The fee is 7,240 baht (4,700 baht for students). Visit sarbica2023.nat.go.th/Registration.
