If you're feeling far from nature, come and find some peace through art at "The Delicacy Of Nature", which is running at the RCB Galleria 3 of River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24, until April 18.

This is the 12th solo exhibition by architect-turned-artist Supmanee Chaisansuk who is bringing almost 40 paintings that show the complexity of nature at a microscopic level.

The new works were created during last year's Covid-19 lockdown which allowed her to spend more time at home alone, examining her own garden in greater detail. Taking note of the surfaces of plants, flowers, insects, and animals in her garden, she was drawn to the delicacy, textures and fibres creating its own network.

Inspired by the incredible creations of nature, her semi-abstract colourful paintings offer a zoom-in experience where viewers are able to see the microscopic elements, shapes, structures and movement of nature as if they are looking through a magnifying glass.

Supmanee is reputed for her painting technique in which she mixes water with watercolour and acrylic paint to create flowing movement of colour and water, which she describes as representing freedom and nature.
