"Booktopia" is the theme of the "Book Expo Thailand 2022" which will kick off on Wednesday and run until Oct 23, daily from 10am to 9pm, at Exhibition Hall 5-7, LG floor of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadaphisek Road.
Organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (Pubat), the 27th edition of the annual book expo will feature a wide variety of books from 328 publishers at over 800 booths that are divided into six zones.
They include "Children's Books and Educational Books", "General Books", "Rare Books", "History and Politics", "Literature and Fiction", and "Comics and Light Novel". Discounts of up to 70% will be offered.

The 12-day event will be packed with activities and seminars to inspire readers of all ages. Designed to be a check-in area, the "Landmark" section at the centre of the exhibition will offer a 360-degree bird's eye view of the entire fair.
The "Reading Road" in the same area will showcase different library designs while the "Reader Road by Pubat and PaiyaBooks" area will arrange various activities for all ages.
At the "Booktopia Exhibition" located in front of Hall 6-7, readers are invited to share ideas about their dream cities. Their messages will be delivered to the responsible bodies to push them into fruition.
Other highlights include the "Human Library", which will gather over 10 books about real people from different professions and "Book Club" where famous authors will give a talk.
Set in a printing house atmosphere, the "Book Factory" section will raise some questions about the leftovers and paper scraps from the book-making process. Also, prepare to witness a replica of the Thailand Pavilion, which will join the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022 in Germany from Oct 19 to 23.
Besides many daily activities at the Main Stage, visitors are invited to donate good books to the One Reader Inspires Million People Foundation at the fair. They will then be distributed to child development centres, schools, communities, libraries, the elderly and the disabled in needy areas.
For shoppers wishing to mail their purchased books home, Thailand Post will be offering EMS services with prices starting at 50 baht. Special discounts will be available when ordering through Lazada, Shopee, ThaiBookFair.com and Linemanmart.
